Customs guarantee is one of the options for ensuring the payment of required charges (taxes, duties) to the customs authorities by persons engaged in foreign economic activity related to cargo transportation under the regulations of the Customs Union.
The procedure for providing a customs guarantee service is defined in Article 86, paragraph 1 of the CU Customs Code.

Customs guarantee, as a method of ensuring the payment of customs duties and taxes, has a number of advantages:

• the customs guarantee allows ordering certificates 24 hours before the truck arrives at the customs post;
• reduction in the duration of customs clearance;
• the service provider of the customs guarantee takes on all the difficulties of timely and advance preparation of the document package (certificates, EPI, GUARANTEE, BTT);
• the cost of goods clearance by certificates (GUARANTEE) within the customs guarantee service is cheaper than the cost of purchasing and registering a TIR carnet;
• it is allowed to provide certificates for an amount higher than the guarantee under the international road document.
